Arizona police said a boy pulled a knife on his mother who refused to let him go trick-or-treating as a ‘gay Justin Bieber.’ The 12-year-old boy had been grounded Halloween night after an argument with his mother, who said his costume idea was disrespectful, police spokesman Sgt. Mark Ortega said. After throwing a tantrum, getting grounded from trick-or-treating, he grabbed a knife from his room and threatened to kill her. The mother disarmed her son and called police. Police arrested the pre-teen on suspicion of threatening his mother with a knife.

The Canadian Broadcasting Standards Council has slammed a Toronto radio station CFNY-FM The Edge and its DJ for making rude comments about Justin Bieber and his fans. Last October CFNY’s radio host Dean Blundell implied that Justin was gay. Justin’s fans then attacked him and Blundell tweeted back: ‘Save your energy for puberty or to fend off your dad tonight while you’re sleepin’.’ Blundell talked about the tweets on his show and referred to a 12-year-old critic as a future ‘chugger,’ slang for a male prostitute. In June, CBSC found Blundell’s comments to be ‘gratuitous and unnecessary‘ & a violation of Equitable Portrayal Code. The station’s penalty was to announce the decision twice on air during peak listening hours.
