Justin Bieber Cheers Up Young Cancer Patients While On Tour! What A Nice Guy!
He’s trying to mend his bad-boy image by making the wishes of his young fans come true!
Justin Bieber doesn’t have much time to spare during the UK leg of his My World tour, yet he spent one day off cheering up kids at a Liverpool hospital!
Biebs, 17, took an hour on March 11 to lift the spirits of young cancer patients in the oncology ward of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, MTV UK reports.
A spokesperson for the hospital was thrilled Justin came to visit the chemotherapy patients.
“When people like Justin Bieber take the time to come and visit our patients it gives them a tremendous boost and really cheers everyone up,” the spokesman tells the BBC. “Patients on the oncology ward undergo rigorous treatments and you can actually see in the children what a difference it makes to have a visitor they admire from the world of entertainment or sport.”
In addition to chatting with the patients, Justin also took photos with the kids and signed autographs.
We may have given him some grief for his recent aggressive behavior, but events like these show Biebs has a really great heart!
Bieber’s Shoe Buyer Forgot To Ask Mom If It’s Ok
STRATFORD, Ont — The sale of a shoe worn by pop star Justin Bieber has hit a snag.
The high school auctioning the sneaker on eBay thought it had sold for US$5,500 Friday, but later learned the winning bidder forgot to ask her mom if it was OK to buy the shoe.
Keith Edwards, a teacher at Stratford Northwestern Secondary School, said the Edmonton girl’s mother “probably had a moment of panic” after receiving the invoice for the autographed shoe.
There were 69 bids submitted for the scuffed right shoe, which has gravel in the tread and dirt on the side and comes with a letter of authenticity, before the auction closed Friday afternoon.
The teen star from Stratford, who is in England on tour, donated the purple size 7 1/2 Nikes to help his former school raise money for a broadcasting and communications studio. The school hasn’t decided what to do with the left shoe yet.
Since the auction started March 1 — Bieber’s 17th birthday — bids came in from across Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, Poland, England and the U.S.
By Thursday, there were bids as high as $12,400, but some weren’t valid.
EBay Canada spokesman Kevin Wolsley said Friday that efforts were underway to resolve the sale.
“There may be a problem with the actual winning bidder on the listing,” said Wolsley. “We’re stilling working through that to determine whether the actual winning bidder is or is not going to come through on the sale.”
If the winning bidder cancels the sale, the school can offer Bieber’s sneaker to the next highest bidder, who offered $5,400.
Edwards said he wasn’t sure what will happen next. The school, which had aimed to raise $3,000 with the sale of the shoe, is closed for March Break next week.
A lock of Bieber’s hair enclosed in a Plexiglas box and signed by the singer was bought at auction for US$40,668 earlier this month by the online casino GoldenPalace.com.
Proceeds from that auction went to a foundation that provides a safe haven for farm animals.
On Monday, a pair of Bieber’s shoes will go on display at the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto following a tribute performance.

Ryan Phillippe has confessed that his daughter Ava is not a fan of Justin Bieber.
Talking to E News, the actor revealed that the 11-year-old – who he co-parents with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon – is not like most kids her age and has more sophisticated musical tastes.

Then, Justin made his Twitter and Facebook and started asking people to go and listen to the song. “I followed my followers and their followers, and kept talking and talking, and the conversation was getting bigger and bigger” (Justin now is followed by more than 7,000,000 people). Rascal Flatts Members Cut Justin Bieber’s Hair?
Rascal Flatts member Joe Don Rooney jokes that he and his band mates are responsible for Justin Bieber’s recent shorter haircut.
The country pop trio had collaborated with the teen pop star on the song “That Should Be Me.” Part of the track’s video and behind-the-scenes footage from its production are set to be shown during the special “Rascal Flatts: Nothing Like This Presented by JCPenney” on Saturday, March 12 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
“It was kind of like holding a cat,” Rooney told WABC, sister station of KABC, OnTheRedCarpet.com’s parent firm, when asked about Bieber’s new chopped ‘do. “He was scratching. It was crazy.”
The special also features a duet Natasha Bedingfield and Rascal Flatt’s singer Gary LeVox performed at a January concert in St. Paul, Minnesota and more footage from their recent U.S. tour.
Rascal Flatts released its first single, “Prayin’ for Daylight,” in 2000 and has sold 20 million albums and 25 million digital downloads.

Justin and the Wizards Of Waverly Place actress went public with their romance at the Vanity Fair Oscars party last month and have been inseparable ever since.
