JUSTIN BIEBER SWEDEN T4 INTERVIEW
Posted by Lexiee on May 1st, 2012 Justin Bieber reveals new ‘mature’ direction as Biebermania hits London
Posted by Lexiee on April 27th, 2012 They stalked him from Heathrow to his Kensington hotel, one hyperventilating mass of phone-wielding, TwitPic-posting, pubescent shrieking as the Justin Bieber circus hit town. But his army of Beliebers could be in for a shock as the teen singing sensation used his London visit to unveil a new “mature” direction. Few pop stars attract the hysteria surrounding the Canadian, 18, who boasts 20 million Twitter followers (rising by one every other second), 8 million sales for his breathily-delivered songs of devotion and rabid scrutiny of his romantic entanglements. Dispatching Theresa May with a sideways Tweet after immigration delays at Heathrow (“Airport was crazy…Some people always tryna ruin it for the fans”), Bieber teased the gauntlet of screaming girls with a hotel window flash of his “six-pack” chest. However Bieber faced a more sceptical audience when he invited the European media to a swanky Ladbroke Grove club to sample his new album Believe, a crucial step in the plan to turn the singer, discovered posting R&B cover versions on YouTube, into a serious artist in his own right. The security surrounding this masterpiece suggested the discovery of a lost album of Beatles originals. Mobile phones were surrendered. But also Dictaphones, bags, coats, jackets, hats and scarves, anything that might conceal a recording device. Pens were checked for pinhole cameras. Once inside, every journalist received a Bieber book, its every page a blank sheet. The man himself leaped on stage, to an ear-splitting chorus of “Justin!” from 12 barely-believing Beliebers, plucked from the bedraggled crowd pleading for entry outside. “I really appreciate you giving me your ears,” said Bieber, rebooting Shakespeare’s Mark Antony speech, before delivering the big news – he is growing up. Describing new song, All Around The World, written with R&B producer Rodney Jerkins, Bieber said: “We wanted something more mature. I’ve grown up and I’m making music that I can relate to and older people can relate to too. I don’t want to lose my young fans but I want to grow the audience.” A much-derided album of Christmas songs was released last year “to get them used to my new voice.” He has co-written all the songs on the record, including one performed solo with just an acoustic guitar accompaniment. “It sounds like a mix between Fergie (the Black Eyed Peas singer) and Jesus,” he boasts. Sex and paternity suits? That’s on the menu too. “I’m going to be talking about everything I’m going through,” said Bieber, who is in a relationship with Hollywood actress Selena Gomez. “I’ve written a song about that whole situation with that girl who said she’s having my baby (Mariah Yeater, who withdrew the false claim).” Bieber frequently sought guidance from the man above, not God, who was praised liberally but Scooter Braun, the manager who has guided the phenomenon since discovering the singer on YouTube and is watching proceedings from a VIP balcony. Excited about his new collaborations with Kanye West and Drake, Bieber asks Scooter if he can play unfinished tracks from the album and is told that he can’t. Mainly Bieber is like any teenager – he wants to play his music really loud and gets frustrated when he’s told he can’t. “Turn it up,” he appeals as the room shakes to another new “club banger”. The songs become submerged under a fuzzy distortion. “The quality is so bad, it’s not supposed to be like that,” he complains, in a rare show of steel behind the doe-eyes. His entourage of minders and record company marketeers look aghast. “It’s going to reflect on my song and it should sound better than that.” An engineer is dispatched as the PA system emits a huge bang and judders to a halt. With a gap in proceedings, questioner Reggie Yates steers Bieber back on to the subject of girls. “Girls like more than gifts. A picnic – girls love that stuff,” the heartthrob said, prompting more shrieks from the back of the room. “But sometimes they give you a headache.” Justin Bieber Greets Fans After Jimmy Kimmel Appearance

On April 16, JB Tweeted two photos of himself to his fans. The first pic is a group shot of the teen idol playing basketball with a group of friends, one of whom appears to be Shaquille O’Neal. Actually it is Shaquille O’Neal. The photo was snapped at his house. Justin’s caption accompanying the photo read: “JUST had a Great Day playing ball at @shaq’s house with the big guy, @adambraun @kennyhamilton @scooterbraun and others for @pencilsofpromise” That pretty much says it all for the first pic. The second didn’t require a caption since it pretty much spoke for itself. It featured Justin posed on the now empty basketball court with a fan. He’s wearing the same dark shorts he wore in the first action pic–and nothing else. Of course, there’s nothing new about a shirtless Biebs. The Boyfriend singer has posted plenty of those online before. The difference is that this shirtless JB pic is unlike any seen before. The Biebs’ body is not only trim and toned, it’s buff and ripped. Along with everything else he’s had on his plate these past few months, Justin Bieber has somehow managed to actually acquire some quality muscle. Or at least some quality muscle tone. His abs look hard and clearly etched with visible lines of definition. And his biceps have finally acquired some shape and size. It’s a great shot, and Justin looks really happy with himself in it. Interestingly, he was fully dressed in the first pic on the basketball court. He obviously removed his shirt to have his picture taken with the fan. Why? Could it be that the second photo wasn’t just a random favor for a fan? Could it have actually been aimed at Selena Gomez? It has been rumored in the recent past that Justin was desperate to appear more manly for Selena. He reportedly even considered testosterone supplements A.K.A. steroids to help him with his ultra masculinization process. While he obviously didn’t go that far, his obviously deliberate display of his new improved more manly physique might be his way of showing Selena that he really will do whatever it takes to make her happy. Good grief. The Teen Dream really is the perfect Boyfriend. You go, JB. Jelena On Kiss Cam!

Posted by Lexiee on April 18th, 2012 The untold number of Justin Bieber fans who tuned in to see their idol appear to introduce what turned out to be only a brief clip of his forthcoming video, “Boyfriend,” may not have noticed, but two more contestants were sent home on “The Voice” on Tuesday night, leaving Teams Blake and Christina with just two contestants apiece as they head into the semifinals in two weeks. (Don’t despair, Beliebers. Your heartthrob, whose new album will be released June 19, will return to perform “Boyfriend” – and perhaps make more confusing chit-chat with the coaches – on “The Voice’s” finale, which is only three weeks away.) But somewhere between the high-pitched, lovelorn screams of Bieber devotees and fans of the Wanted, which performed live on Tuesday’s show, “The Voice” got down to the at times tearful business of narrowing the playing field. Of course, “Voice” fans may still have been reeling from the previous night’s jarring instant eliminations, in which coaches Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton each sent one contestant home, without any post-performance input from “Voice” voters. Aguilera, in particular, had startled viewers and stirred up controversy by eliminating a perceived frontrunner, Jesse Campbell. Her decision apparently surprised her fellow coaches, as well. “I was really shocked, and I’m not easily shocked,” Adam Levine said, noting, however, that it was Aguilera’s decision to make. “I am no stranger to controversy and I am OK with that,” Aguilera reminded viewers, saying she had a strategy, had thought long and hard, and had, ultimately, followed her heart. “I am fearless in the face of what I believe,” she added, before directing attention to her remaining team members, looking frightened as they clumped together on the stage. Ashley De La Rosa, Chris Mann and Lindsey Pavao: One of them would be saved by the fan votes. The other two members of Team Christina would compete for Aguilera’s save. Classically trained opera singer Chris Mann got voter save, leaving De La Rosa, Pavao and Aguilera all looking unhappy. Meanwhile, over on Team Blake, from which Jordis Unga had been eliminated Monday night, Erin Willett, Jermaine Paul and RaeLynn stood awaiting their fate. “It sucks. Sucks,” Shelton said, indicating that he was heartsick at the idea of seeing any of his team members, to whom he had clearly grown close, head home. America voted to save … former Alicia Keys backup singer Jermaine Paul. That meant Shelton would have to choose between Willett and RaeLynn. He had a special bond with each of them. How would he choose? De La Rosa performed Lady Gaga’s “You and I” and was met with overall praise from Aguilera’s fellow coaches. Levine said that De La Rosa had made him a believer and, though he didn’t think her Last Chance song was her best performance, he’d keep her around. Shelton agreed, saying she’d won him over as well and that, while it was a bit premature to say without yet seeing Pavao’s performance, “If I had a choice to buy Lindsey’s record or Ashley’s, I think I’d go buy Ashley’s. I really would.” The coaches’ words or perhaps just the sense that it could all soon come to an end seemed to take a toll on Pavao, who broke down at the end of her transfixing whisper-sung Mike Posner’s “Please Don’t Go,” leaving Aguilera, too, in tears. Cee Lo Green called Pavao’s performance “wonderful” and “endearing” but seemed to suggest she was sunk, saying, “Good luck to you, darling.” Shelton lauded the “mysterious” quality in Pavao’s voice, but then said, “I think I’ve still got to stick with what I said before.” And after the Justin Bieber screams died down, a damp-eyed Aguilera delivered her verdict. She praised Pavao’s vulnerability and revealed that she had a “special connection” to her voice. She hailed De La Rosa for her dynamic performance style and rapid growth. “You both are complete superstars,” she told them, but, again trusting her heart, she said, “I have to go with Lindsey.” “Ashley De La Rosa, so sorry to see you go,” host Carson Daly said, as Aguilera rushed the stage to shower De La Rosa, as she was uttering her thanks, in hugs and kisses and repeated declarations that she was “amazing.” And what of Shelton’s tough call? After yet another reminder of how bonded the country-star coach is to his team – he brought them each up to sing with him during a recent concert, and they, in turn, serenaded him with a surprise song – his bottom two remaining contestants took the stage to test his love. Willett, whom he had supported when her father died during Battle Rounds, sang a powerful “Proud Mary.” “I loved your spirit and I loved your energy,” Aguilera said. RaeLynn, the teen country spitfire, tackled “If I Die Young” by the Band Perry. Levine offered modest praise, questioning the song choice and some of RaeLynn’s vocal habits, but praising her command. “The song doesn’t play you,” he said. “You play the song.” And Blake? After expressing his love and admiration for both and declaring that making the decision was “way rougher” than he’d imagined it would be, he finally, as the credits rolled and the seconds evaporated, offered a name: Willett would be saved. Country cutie RaeLynn would stomp off to whatever came next for her. That means, advancing to the semifinals will be … Team Christina: Chris Mann and Lindsey Pavao. Do you think America and the judges made the right call? Justin Bieber Reveals His Five Key ‘Boyfriend’ Tips And Talks New Video
Posted by Lexiee on April 14th, 2012 The countdown is on to Justin Bieber’s next album release, Believe. And if the response to the album’s first single, “Boyfriend,” is any indication, the record’s appeal might span far beyond the realm of his devoted Beliebers. “The reaction’s been great [to 'Boyfriend']; not only have I got good reactions from my fans, but great reactions from people who, you know, [might not usually listen to my music]. I’ve gotten messages like ‘You know, I never would have listened to Justin and now I love this song,’ ” he explained to MTV News. “So, it’s really great feedback.” It’s that kind of enthusiasm that Bieber is taking with him as he works on the record in its final stages. He’s already hit the studio with folks like Drake, will.i.am, Diplo and Usher and is just chugging along before he has to wrap up and send it out into the world. “There’s not a confirmed release date. It’s this summer. I’m really happy with the outcome of it so far,” he said. “I mean, we’re almost done. We’re just kind of putting the finishing touches on it. It should be good.” But before then, fans will have to satisfy their appetites with the Colin Tilley-directed “Boyfriend” video, which should drop in the near future. Unfortunately, the visual won’t mirror the single’s choice lyrics, “I could be your Buzz Lightyear/ Fly across the globe.” “No, no, I won’t be dressed up as Buzz Lightyear,” he said. “I think there’s some copyright issues, I can’t use that.” Bieber also gave MTV a few ‘Boyfriend’ tips of his very own, saying: “I don’t know if I’m even the best boyfriend, but I can give a few suggestions.” Well, after taking a second to get his tips together, Selena Gomez’s beau had timeless advice for any clueless fellas out there: “I think being honest and patient, because girls can be tough sometimes, so you just got to be patient. That’s two,” he explained. “Forgive, and have fun, because it’s about having fun.” So, what was Bieber’s final piece of advice? “Last one?” he said. “Be faithful.” In addition to those five simple steps, Bieber recently dished to Seventeen magazine about another one of his dating philosophies. “I’m just trying to make [Selena] happy, that’s all,” he shared. “I think it’s important to make all women feel like they’re princesses, because every girl is a princess. I’m serious.” Justin Bieber: I pick and choose
Posted by Lexiee on April 14th, 2012 Justin Bieber has finally learnt to say no when it comes to his career. The 18-year-old pop star is currently promoting his new single Boyfriend, from his third album Believe. Justin has always strived for success and admits he took on too much when he first found fame. Now the star has realised how important it is to take time away from his hectic schedule. “I have become more aware of my surroundings,” he told a UK TV show when asked how he has changed since first finding fame. “I know when to say no and when to say yes, you know, before I would just say yes to everything and I was getting way too tired and I was getting sick a lot. I just wasn’t enjoying myself as much, but now I pick and choose what I want to do so I’m not too tired at the end of the day. I don’t like waking up really early – I hate it!” Justin first hit the charts with My World in 2009 which was followed by My World 2.0 in 2010. Since the release of his two-part debut album, the star has topped charts all over the world and worked with a host of big names. Justin has now adjusted to fame and feels far more in control of his career. “I was working a lot, I was right in the midst of my first album and everything was going super fast and I was tired,” he recalled. “Now I feel rejuvenated and I have been getting days off and it has been a lot easier.”
